Frequently Asked Questions
Straightforward answers about how review, fees, and publication actually work here.
What disciplines do you cover?
Business and management, marketing and branding, entrepreneurship, economics, education, development studies, digital transformation and technology, and the social sciences more broadly. If a submission sits outside these areas, we’ll say so and won’t take a review fee for declining it.
Is this peer review?
Not blind peer review in the formal academic sense — we say this plainly rather than imply something we don’t do. Every submission is read and judged by a named editor with real subject-matter authority, who can accept, request revisions, or decline. The editor’s name is published on the paper itself, so the review is attributable, not anonymous.
What’s the review and hosting fee for?
New or previously unpublished submissions carry a one-time review and hosting fee, payable on submission. It covers the editor’s time reviewing the work and the ongoing cost of hosting it with a permanent URL and full citation metadata. Work that has already been published elsewhere — in a journal, conference proceedings, or an institutional repository — is indexed here at no charge, since no new review or long-term hosting commitment is required.
Does paying the fee guarantee publication?
No. The fee pays for review, not for acceptance. An editor can still request revisions or decline a submission after it’s paid for.
How long does review take?
It varies by editor workload and the complexity of the paper. We don’t publish a fixed turnaround time because we’d rather under-promise than set an expectation an editor can’t meet — if you haven’t heard back within a reasonable window, you’re welcome to follow up.
Can I submit work that’s under review elsewhere?
Working papers and preprints are welcome, and we say so on your paper’s page — we don’t misrepresent a preprint as a peer-reviewed journal article. If the same paper is later formally published elsewhere, let us know and we’ll update the record to point to it.
Who owns and runs the platform?
Evans Consulting Publications is built and operated independently by Evans Kongnyuy. See the About page for how it’s structured, and the Editorial Board page for who has editorial authority over which discipline.
How do I submit a paper?
Use the Submit Your Work page. You’ll need the full text of the paper, author names and affiliations, an abstract, and — if it’s already been published — a link or DOI to the original source.
